A message and tribute from the E.A.C

The development and design of the E.A.C started taking shape in 2013, accepted within CAWF in 2015 and officially became operational in 2020 with the input, collaboration and support of the Armwrestling community.
We invite you to browse the CAWF website to find all that you need regarding the EAC including the CAWF Code of Ethics. Our mission & vision is that all CAWF sanctioned Armwrestling events will hold a standard of conduct that models and promotes diverse safe spaces for officials to their work, athletes to compete and spectators to cheer them on.
In the spirit of abuse prevention, we honor the memory of former Armwrestler, Krystal Senyk, who lost her life while trying to protect a friend and her children who were victims of domestic violence.
Born in Ontario, Krystal Senyk started competing in Arm wrestling when she moved to the Yukon around the age of 24. Krystal won the 1990 Canadian National titles (Left and Right arms) in Winnipeg, and then went on to compete at the Houston WAF Championships that year placing 4th. She had big aspirations in a sport she'd only just gotten into.
2022 marks 30 years since her life ended abruptly on March 1, 1992.
Krystal is a hero to many, and her legacy of helping others will live on; she lays in rest in Carcross, Yukon Canada. The crime related to her passing remains unsolved.
In honor of Krystal’s memory, the E.A.C presented a plaque to her family at the 2022 Canadian National Championships, honoring their plight for justice, her Arm wrestling achievements, and her legacy of helping others. On behalf of the Senyk family, they wish to thank you all for remembering Krystal and the sacrifice she made to keep a friend and her children safe. She was indeed selfless.
Remembering her in power; let’s strive for the safest tournaments possible. “Remember the Spirit”.

Nous existons depuis 2020 mais le développement date particulièrement depuis 2013 impliquant plusieurs de la communauté du bras de fer.
Nous sommes fières de vous servir dans un esprit de prévention des abus sportif. Nous reconnaissons que notre travail marque le début d'un changement culturel indispensable. Nous vous remercions de votre confiance et nous aspirons à ce que tous les événements CAWF de bras de fer aient une norme de conduite qui favorisent la diversité dans des espaces sûrs pour les officiels pour leur travail, les athlètes pour concourir, et les spectateurs pour encourager leur courage.

En accord avec notre mission, nous honorions la mémoire de notre ancienne collègue du bras de fer, Krystal Senyk, qui a perdu la vie le 1 mars 1992 en essayant de protéger une amie et ses enfants qui étaient victimes de violence conjugale.

Cette année marque le 30e anniversaire de la fin brutale de sa vie. Krystal est une héroïne pour beaucoups de gens, et son héritage d'aider aux autres perpétuera. Elle repose en paix à Carcross, au Yukon avec son père. Le crime relié à son décès reste non résolu.
