He entered the sport in 2002 and experienced success quite quickly.
He won his first national title in 2005 and then went one to win another 25 national titles – all in the open/senior division, including an incredible string of 12 left-hand titles in a row!
On top of being one of the most dominant Canadian pullers in the sport’s history, he’s also devoted a lot of time giving back: he runs the Vancouver Armwrestling Club, he’s a master-level referee, he hosted the 2012 National Championships, and has served as the CAWF Director of Communications for the past 15 years!
In recognition of his dedication, he’s been awarded the John Miazdzyk Memorial Award, a lifetime achievement award from the BC Armwrestling Association, and is in the BC Armwrestling Hall of Fame.
Now, it’s only fitting that Anthony Dall’Antonia be inducted into the Canadian Armwrestling Hall of Fame.

He competed predominantly in the 1980s and early 1990s. The
Barrie, Ontario, native worked his way up the armwrestling ranks to the point where he became a leading force in the 176-pound class. His peak was between roughly 1987 and 1993, during which time he amassed an impressive number of major titles.
This included 5 national titles, multiple Gloucester Fair International titles, back-to-back
Northern Ontario pro titles, and finally a WAF world title in 1993 over Sweden’s Andreas Rundstrom and Russia’s Kazbek Zoloev.
He also freely shared his knowledge and mentored the great Gary Goodridge when he first entered the sport. We are very pleased to welcome Phil Stoppert into the Canadian Armwrestling Hall of Fame.
